  • WebmedCentral Faculty

WebmedCentral  is currently inviting faculty members for each speciality on our portal. We aim to build a team of Lead Faculty and Faculty for each speciality. WebmedCentral will appoint Lead Faculties for each speciality from amongst the interested candidates. Our Advisory Board Members are expected to assist us in this task. Lead Faculties will then build their team by appointing Faculties for each speciality. WebmedCentral will be able to directly invite scientists for these Faculty positions. Academic excellence and belief in core WebmedCentral principles will be given priority in these appointments.

A WebmedCentral Lead Faculty/ Faculty will be a recognised expert in their field nationally/ internationally. They would have an insight into biomedical publishing and authored at least five articles. They would typically be involved with major institutes and active in academic circles. Faculty will believe in our core philosophy of author driven post publication peer review in an open and transparent manner and help popularise our concept within their wider circles. They will be expected to understand our platform and work with WebmedCentral Advisory Board  and management on scientific matters. All faculty will work in close collaboration with each other to achieve best results.

Responsibility of Lead Faculty: Lead Faculty will appoint a team of  faculty for their speciality. They will be expected to work closely with other Lead Faculty (ies) in their speciality and participate in future developments on their speciality pages. They along with faculty will have the responsibility of providing faculty review for all articles on WebmedCentral.

Responsibility of Faculty: WebmedCentral Faculty (along with Lead Faculty) are expected to function as the the all important quality control layer in WebmedCentral with their faculty reviewss. We expect each faculty to review at least 5 articles every year in their speciality to retain their faculty status. Passionate Faculty members can be appointed to Lead Faculty positions at sole discretion of WebmedCentral Team.

In turn, WebmedCentral will publicly acknowledge all its Lead Faculty and Faculty. They will be able to publish articles highlighting important issues facing their speciality/subspeciality in their country or globally, under our special category called "Faculty Speak".
