This paper is based upon the audit of our initial experience in the management of patients with localized prostate cancer by means of radical prostatectomy. To find out whether or not our findings would be consistent with what is known or what has been suggested iregarding the biological behaviour of localized prostate cancer. Radical prostatectomy had not been carried out in our hospital before our project. The results of our audit are consistent with what has been suggested to be the biological behaviour of such tumours in relation to PSA, Gleason Score, and Clinical staging. Some times audit results may no necessarily be consistent with what had been previously suggested. It is important that from time to time surgeons should audit their work in order to establish whether or not their results are consistent with the outcome from well established academic institutions.
