  • Other Comments:

This is a case report of lithiasis of the bladder and urethra,  a rather common complication for patients with neuropathic bladder and indwelling cystostomy catheter.  The main comment of the authors that deserves attention is that in a patient with a suprapubic catheter, the only sign of urethral obstruction by a calculus may be anejaculation. This is useful information to keep in mind for such patients. However, the case report is unecessarily long and narrative. Large parts of the patient history and laboratory findings could be deleted, as they distract the reader from the main point of interest. Moreover, in the discussion section the presentation of whole lists of causes and symtoms is more than redundant.
