In response to the editor’s personal invitation, I have critically and objectively gone through the article entitled; ‘’ Correlation Between Intestinal Protozoan Infection and Diarrhea in HIV/AIDS Patients’’, and have found it to be of scientific merit. However, below are some observations that necessitate the revision of this article in its present form.
Article Section: The pre-review publication of this article under immunology section is not quite appropriate. The article should be re-published, for example, under the section ‘’Aids’’, ‘’Infectious Dieseases’’, or any other equally appropriate section.
Abstract
(i) In lines 6, 7 and 8, it is better to state, for example, that 900 samples were analysed; 700 and
200 of which were from HIV positive patients and HIV-negative controls respectively.
(ii) It is better if the authors briefly include the prevalence of the intestinal parasites.
Results
(i)The result section should be clearly structured.
(ii) The tables should not come after the references; they should be properly re-arranged to
fit within the text.
Discussion
The discussion section is missing.
Conflict of Interest: Coincidentally, I know the corresponding author (who is here the third author) personally.
