An expert in image processing and analysis, embedded instrumentation, with a wide knowledge of a range of computational techniques and interdisciplinary applications, including biomedical.
Academic positions:
Senior Lecturer at University of Aberdeen since 1994.
Hon. Medical Physicist to Grampian University Hospitals NHS Trust.
Research interests:
Computational image analysis for biomedical applications. Wireless sensor networking for healthcare monitoring. Formal methods for healthcare computing.
What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
An opportunity for scientists to be in control of scientific publishing.
