Brief Biography:

I am Ruchi Gakhar, currently working as a Postdoc ( Research Associate) at the University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA. Here I am working on materials aspects of Fluoride salt cooled high temperature nuclear reactor (FHR). I received my PhD degree (Materials Science) from University of Nevada, Reno. My PhD dissertation focused on the design of efficient photoanodes using facile fabrication routes for hydrogen generation from water splitting reaction. I also hold a MS (Nanoscience and Nanotechnology), and a MS (Organic Chemistry). I have strong research experience in field of chemistry and surface science with fifteen publications (including one book chapter) and nine conference presentations. In addition to these, three manuscripts are under review. My expertise includes variety of high end analytical techniques including XPS, XRD, UV-Vis, FTIR, SEM-EDS, ICP-OES, HPLC and GC-MS. I have already reviewed more than 12 manuscripts for journals such as Materials, ACS Applied Materials and Interfaces, Optics and Photonics Journal, Modern applied Science, Journal of Sustainable development, International Journal of Advanced Materials Research, IJMSE and Fusion Science and technology. To broaden my experience, I am interested in reviewing manuscripts for your reputed journal, as well want to serve as editor for Webmed Central.

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

In my view, Webmed Central offers a unique platform for the biomedical sciences, by accepting and publishing all manuscripts initially and follow a post-publication peer review later . Such platform lays a better foundation for positive criticism and open discussion, leading to better science.
