Brief Biography:


fter completing post graduation in General surgery from MS University, Baroda, he did Fellowship in Surgical Gastroenterology and Liver Transplantation from Sir Ganga Ram Hospital, Delhi and later went for Fellowship in Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Surgery from Department of Hepato Biliary and Pancreatic, Asan Medical Center, Seoul, S. Korea. From his residency days, he was interested in the physiology of Bariatric surgery when this form of surgery was not that popular as today. So later he took intensive training in Laparoscopic Bariatric Surgery and also has been trained extensively in all major abdominal surgeries and in Advanced Laparoscopic surgery. He was awarded the International Young Surgeons Award, April 2010, Liverpool, UK by Association of Surgeons of Great Britain & Ireland (ASGBI). His main interest area is the upper gastrointestinal surgery, Obesity surgery, hepatobiliary and pancreatic surgery, Colorectal Surgery and has an inclination towards surgical research. He is an Active Member of International Society of Surgery (ISS/SIC) and International Hepato-pancreato-biliary Association (IHPBA), Society of Endoscopic and Laparoscopic Surgeons of India (SELSI) and and published many articles in national and international journals. He is regularly updating himself in the field of GI Surgery and actively participating at various national and international conferences by presenting the work there.
