Dr. Paras Kumar Mishra

Brief Biography:


Dr. Mishra obtained his M.S. and Ph.D. from Banaras Hindu University, a very reputed university in India. He started his career in physiology in the year 2008, when he joined department of Physiology & biophyscis, University of Louisville, KY, USA. He has been promoted to Assistant Professor in the year 2010. His major interest areas are microRNomics of heart failure, stem cell therapy, mechanisms of heart failure in diabetes, contribution of extracellular matrix and matrix metalloproteinases in pathological cardiac remodeling. His reseach work has been recognized with several interpartionla awards and invited talk. He is actively engaged in scientific community as Reviewer of American Heart Association grants, Editor of Book, Member of Editorial board of internationally reputed peer reviewed Journals, Managing Editor of “Journal of diabetes and metabolism”, Expert Judge, committee member, reviewer of journals and so on. Currently, he is funded with American heart association grant and is mentoring a Research Associate and three M.S. students.
