I was born in Catania on 27/09/1960.
I attended the University of Catania and I obtained the firstdegree in Biological Sciences and a degree in Medicine and Surgery, and finally the School of Specialisation in Otorhinolaryngology.
I started my research in 1982 as a student at the Institute ofMicrobiology, University of Catania, where I published my first works.
From 1986 I continued my research at the Institute of Otolaryngology, University of Catania, I started to attend as a student in Medicine and Surgery. After earning her specialization in ENT I continued my work at the Institute of Otolaryngology of Catania as a fellow.
Since November 2008 a researcher at the University "MagnaGraecia" of Catanzaro, and since 2009 the University awarded me the title of associate professor.
