Brief Biography:
Dr. Chhabra is an Assistant Professor in the department of Pediatrics at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, Yeshiva University, New York. She is a clinical psychologist by training, and has been involved in clinical work and research focusing on health education, HIV/AIDS prevention, health promotion and addressing quality of life issues for people living with HIV/AIDS since late nineties. Dr. Chhabra's research orientation is towards involving community-based participatory research principles to work on health disparities. She has been involved in designing, implementing and evaluating international health education, prevention and health promotion programs for youth for the last twelve years. Dr. Chhabra has successfully worked with academic partners, governmental agencies and community organizations and has formed lasting national as well as international partnerships for health disparities research and programs affecting youth community.
