Dr. Fernando Rodriguez-Serrano

Brief Biography:


Fernando Rodríguez-Serrano, PhD, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Human Anatomy and Embryology, and a member of the Institute of Biopathology and Regenerative Medicine (IBIMER), University of Granada, Spain. He has participated in 20 public research projects and contracts established with private companies, he has published more than 40 articles in international refereed journals, 5 books and 10 book chapters. He is associate editor of the international journal Medmol Research Reports, and international peer-reviewer of the Georgian Shota Rustaveli National Science Foundation.

 

Academic positions:


Dr. Rodríguez-Serrano has academic responsibilities that include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses about Human Anatomy, Cancer and Regenerative Medicine, supervising graduate students and conducting doctoral thesis projects.

 

Research interests:


- Development and evaluation of novel strategies against cancer, using experimental compounds and/or gene transference.

- Optimization of the expansion and differentiation of human stem cells.
