Related project include “Ranking Iberoamericano de Instituciones de Investigación-RI3” (funded by Universia) and “Mi perfil investigador- MPI” (financed by the Fundación Española de Ciencia y Tecnología – FECYT). Zaida is currently working on the scientific reports about the scientific production of international visibility for different national and international organizations and the explotation and analysis of the different indicators and products developed by the SCImago Research Group

The SCImago group is highly active, and as a consequence it has signed numerous cooperation agreements with various Spanish institutions, (FECYT, Junta de Andalucía, Principado de Asturias, Consorcio de Bibliotecas Públicas de Galicia, Universitat Oberta de Catalunya, Universidad del País Vasco/Euskal Herriko Unibertsitatea), as well as international institutions (CONICYT, CONACYT, REDALyC, IESALC, Pontificia Universidad Católica de Valparaíso, Universidad de Antioquia, CEPAL…), which has enabled the group to produce scientific reports on internationally visible scientific output for different aggregates. Zaida has actively participated in two complementary tasks: the drafting of scientometric reports and developing methodological design and indicators of scientific information systems.

Her major lines of investigation are: advanced information retrieval techniques for the development of real time information systems; interface design techniques for the visualization of scientific information; analysis and evaluation of scientific domains; scientometrics analyses of different domains for specific problem resolution; the representation and visualisation of scientific information, with special emphasis in the scientific collaboration networks and information system design for scientometrics to facilitate decision making processes.
