Brief Biography:
I am the last disciple of Prof. Clemente Estable, direct disciple of Santiago Ramón y Cajal. Clemente Estable established our Institute, which is presently named after him.
I have published more than 100 original referred articles, book chapters and conference communications or abstracts, and directed several graduate and postgraduate theses.
I have also edited or co-edited books and conference book abstracts.
I usually participate in graduate and postgraduate teaching at Schools of Science, Medicine.
I usually participate actively in the organization and co-ordination of Postgraduate studies in the framework of PEDECIBA, the Programme for the Development of Basic Science of Uruguay.
I am the Coordinator of the Consejo Consultivo of the IIBCE and the Coordinator of Biology and Molecular Biology SubArea of PEDECIBA (Biology)
