  • Other Comments:

The paper is seems to be like a review or synopsis of a research work. The results and discussion must be more explanatory. However, reporting such study promotes research in this field and increase intrerest of researchers.

    author should enhance paper  by

    1. Author should check spellings and grammer.

    2. heading and sub headings must be on sequential positions.

    3. Some review part can be deleted.

    4. figures of electron microscopy and histopathology are missing.

    1. Though the herbal formulations are occupying pharma market, detailed study of their toxicological objective to be thouroughly assessed. this article seems to be interesting but some more biochemical analysis required to support their intial findings.

2.References 1to 6 are missing in the running text.

    3. The topic is formulation of a gel but characterisation of gel like viscosity, spreadability details are not given.

4 Invitro assessment to be done befor invivo studies.

    5. the selected polymer, carbopol 940 itself is highly acidic and skin irritant. it should be neutralised before application. but the authors didnot mentioned any thing about this.

    6. we reccommend authors to  check the spell throughout the manuscript.

The majority of the paper seems to be explaining different methods for evaluation of wound healing and lacking in substance concerning the actual study. I was impressed with the compositional analysis which is often lacking in herbal studies.

Noticed one problem with the method:

The wounds on the left side were filled with gel

extract (test wounds) and on the right side (control

wounds) were filled with alcohol. After these

procedures, the animals receive no other treatment

until they are fully recovered. The application was

received daily for the next 24 hours post operative

    days.

The test compound was formulated in Carbopol 940 yet they used alcohol on the control site. They could have or should have used Carbopol without the extract. I would say that comparison of healing cannot be evaluated due to this. Further, I found the statement that the animals received no other treatment until they recovered followed by the next sentence that the application was received daily is confusing. Suggest asking for more detail and an explanation on the control from the authors.
