    The article is well written and the work carried out provides a clear evidance of the level of pro-apoptosis activity of C18 and C12 ceramide and brain derived non-hydroxy fatty acid ceramide. The work would have been more robust if DNA fragmentation  and also cell morphological evidence of apoptosis was included.
