The article has in detail explored the role of enzymes in infections in humans. They are specially valuable in this era of increasing antibiotic resistance. More informations on availability and pediatric dosing of these enzymes would further add to the usefulness of this article.

Informative article. The usefulness of enzymes have been underrated. It could serve as a good supplement to antibiotics for treament and control of infections.

In medicine hydrolytic enzymes are used for oral application in various indications. A combination of enzyme preparations has better effects than single enzymes. Enzyme preparations are well tolerated and very safe. Systemic Enzyme Therapy represents a special therapeutic approach consisting of an oral application of high doses of hydrolytic animal and plant enzyme combinations. The reviewing article is very actual and contemporary.
- At the same time in the article has some inaccurate (see the correction on P.2-5).
- In the part DOSING: comment of preparations and paediatrics doses.
In conclusion, the article is produce evidence of Systemic Enzyme Therapy in Infections.

This paper is brilliant, proposing substances that may work with anti-inflammatories and anti-microbial medicines to restore health with a minimal if any side effects. The author supports observed effects of several potent enzymes in vivo when appropriately used to reduce a number of infections and autoimmune diseases. I would like to see more on the issue po-dose enzyme absorption through gastrointestinal acidic pH exposure [i.e. first-pass metabolism]. Do we need to enteric coat oral enzymes in order to benefit systemic absorption rate. If this paper is revised, I ask the author to address that issue. Very, very interesting paper...this reviewer learned from reading this manuscript!

The paper claims that systemic enzyme therapy may be a useful adjunct in infections where antibiotics have fail. This is important when dealing with resistant organisms
The claims are novel
Yes, they are properly placed
The author has quoted many conditions to support his claims. However, more clinical studies need to be done to further substantiate the claims
No
The paper looks more like a review article. It is not a systematic review or meta-analysis. It's a very long and detailed review
Need randomized controlled trials to improve the paper.
The paper is good and so is the idea. It won't be incorporated in my lecture though
It is an interesting article and may assist clinicians in dealing with difficult to treat infections. Systemic enzymes may be an adjunct to antibiotics.
I must admit that I am just a cinician and may not be tuned to the explanation at molecular level. However, it is an interesting concept.
