Brief Biography:
I am currently working as Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Southend University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. My particular areas of interest are Maternal and Fetal Medicine. I have published papers in peer-reviewed journals, presented papers/posters in national/international forums. I am reviewer for the journals - "ultrasound in obstetrics and gynaecology", "European journal of obstetrics, gynaecology and reproductive biology", and "prenatal diagnosis". I currently represent my specialty in the hospital trust "R&D committee". I am the local "prinicipal investigator" for the "multicentre nationally collaborated research study on pregnant women complicated with epilepsy (EMPIRE study).
I was invited and contributed to the Department of Health e-learning for health project on e-FM (electronic fetal monitoring) produced jointly by the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists and the Royal College of Midwives. I am the author of 3 knowledge sessions.
