Dr. Sandeep Kumar

Brief Biography:

Dr. Kumar received his doctoral degree from New Delhi, India and was pre-doctoral trainee at Roswell Park Cancer Institute (RPCI), USA. He worked on several underlying mechanisms of hypersensitivity linked with food including identification of several allergens and the role of cytokines and transcription factors in allergy and further, he extended his scientific regimen in basic biology of cancer and role of chemokines. Currently, his research area is encompassing immunological aspects behind the mitochondrial apoptosis in tumor cells. He has authored more than 40 peer reviewed publications in international journals and conference proceedings. He has served as a committee member of Asia and the Pacific basin region committee and cells and mediators of allergic inflammation committee of American Academy of Allergy Asthma and Immunology, (AAAAI). He is actively involved with European Academy of Allergy and Clinical Immunology (EAACI), World Allergy Organization (WAO) and American Association of Cancer Research (AACR) and other national and international organizations.
