Academic positions:
Assistant Professor
Research interests:
Currently I’m focus on two projects: 1. Regulation of unique carbohydrate-binding protein galectin-3 by proteases and kinases, and its role in breast and prostate cancer and 2. Development of novel targeted therapy in treatment of malignant glioma and prostate cancer. Our methodologies include molecular biology, biochemical and proteomics techniques developed in the lab. The research is performed in the context of physiological processes such as cancer development and treatment and differentiation as well as basic cellular processes such as intracellular signaling, apoptosis and cell survival.
What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:
I think it is good idea and I hope that it will be a popular journal with good impact factor
