Dr. J. Eduardo Lugo

Associated Researcher
Universite de Montreal
3744 Rue Jean Brillant

Brief Biography:

Ph.D. degree in physics. My PhD research involved experimental and theoretical studies of porous silicon nanostructures. Porous silicon multi-layers. I was a Professor at the Autonomous Morelos State University where I worked on Multi-layers optical properties and molecular dynamics simulations. I was a Postdoctoral Fellow in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and the Center for Future Health at the University of Rochester, Rochester, NY, working with biosensors and photonic band-gap materials based on nanostructures of silicon. I was Professor at the Center for Energy Research of the National University of Mexico (UNAM), where I researched on electro-optical properties of nanostructures and multilayer filters. I was a Postdoctoral Fellow and Associate researcher at the Photonic Systems Group in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at McGill University, Montreal, QC, Canada, working with OE-VLSI systems and new VCSELs and tunable photonics bandgap devices. Since 2005, I joined the Visual and Psychophysics perception laboratory as Associate researcher working with Stochastic resonance and Multisensory Integration in humans, wavefront eye aberrometry, pupillary dynamics, blur adaptation and non linear propagation in photonic crystals (Negative refraction).

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

I think is great, Open acces journals have made a huge contribution in sharing scientific knowledge between academic scholars. WebmedCentral is going beyond a normal Open access journal by refining and shorthening methods and time publication in a way that we all are going to benefit in the near future.
