1. Established and developed a Pulmonary Interventional Procedure Service at University of Florida College of Medicine at Jacksonville which specializes in:
2. Endobronchial ultrasound and fluoroscopy guided procedures.
3. Tumor resection and de-bulking, utilizing APC, cautry and snare instruments.
4. Tracheobronchial stenting via flexible bronchoscopy.
5. Balloon tracheobronchoplasty.
6. Ultrasound guided placement of drainage catheters for pleural effusions and pneumothoraces.
7. Placement of endobronchial valves for prolonged airleaks and lung volume reduction procedures in furture
8. Established combined Pulmonary Hypertension and Interstitial Lung Disease clinic staffed by 2 pharmacist and one respiratory therapist/ clinical coordinator:
9. The center follows over 130 established pulmonary hypertension patients, over 45 sarcoidosis patients, and over 40 interstitial lung disease patients since its start in January 2008. An average of 10-15 new patients are evaluated each month. We expect continued growth over the next few quarters. We are involved in multiple multicenter clinical trials in the arena of pulmonary hypertension.
