Brief Biography:
I, Dr Masood A. Khan, got my Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology from AMU, Aligarh India. My Ph.D. work involves the study of immune-potentiating and therapeutic effects of liposomes against opportunistic fungal infections like Candida albicans, Aspergillus fumigatus and Cryptococcus neoformans in immunocompetent and immunocompromised mice.
I joined Indiana School University of Medicine in 2004 as a postdoctoral fellow in the Deptt. of Microbiology and Immunology. I worked with Dr Randy R. Brutkiewicz for five and half years . His laboratory is involved in dissecting the mechanisms of CD1-mediated antigen presentation. Here I also studied "how vaccinia virus evades the innate immune system of the host."
