Dr. Azizuddin Khan

Brief Biography:


Dr. Azizuddin Khan is currently Assistant Professor (Psychology), Psychophysiology Lab,  Department of Humanities and Social Sciences at Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Bombay. He has research interest in the field of Developmental Neuropsychology, Cognitive Ergonomics, EEG / Event Related Potential, Applied cognition, and Prospective Memory. While teaching interests are: Cognitive Psychology, Developmental Neuropsychology, Biological Psychology, Cognitive Ergonomics and Research Methodology. Dr. Khan is an eminent psychologist, prolific writer and author of many books and articles in scientific Journals. He has written two books- Prospective Memory: Realization of Delayed Intention and Clinical Child Psychology. Dr. Khan was awarded Young Biomedical Scientist by Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), awarded Visiting Scientists by Indian National Science Academy (INSA) under International Collaboration / Bilateral Exchange Programme, Young Scientist at International Congress of Psychology, Berlin, Germany in 2008. American Psychosomatic Society, Chicago, USA, awarded Cousin's Center Global Outreach Award (2009). The important fellowships, which were given to Dr. Khan, are: German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) Fellowship to attend ICCL Summer School on Computational Logic and Cognitive Science at Technische Universitat Dresden, Germany, Fellowship to attend OIST Workshop on Cognitive Neurobiology at Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Okinawa, Japan, Fellowship to attend Workshop: Behaviour Pathologies: Biological Approaches at Instituto Gulbenkian de Ciência, Lisbon, Portugal, International Brain Research Organization Fellowship for attending 5th Brain Connectivity Workshop at Sendai, Japan, Marie-curie Assistantship for attending Helsinki winter School in Cognitive Neuroscience in 2005. Awarded Hermes Fellowship by the Ministry of Foreign affairs, France, Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (CNRS),and La  Fondation Maison des sciences de l’homme (FMSH), France in 2009. Awarded scholar exchange scheme Under ICSSR-ESRC (UK) bilateral collaboration programme.Psychophysiologist
