Brief Biography:
Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School (MD) with postdoctoral research experience at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Rehovot (5 years, working on interferon-induced enzymes and TNF) followed by a Fulbright Fellowship to the Albert einstein College of Medicine, New York (Natural killer cells) and Tufts University, Boston (Idiotypes in autoimmunity and Rheumatology). Head of a large Department of Medicine in an academic teaching hospital and Professor of Medicine at the Hebrew University Hadassah (Jerusalem). Current research interests include: Rheumatoid arthritis and Sjorgen's syndrome; Cytokines in autoimmunity; Cytokines in chronic hepatitis C; Complement system in rituximab treatment; Quality of care and Medical education.
