Dr. Sathyadevi Venkataramani

Scientist I
Integrated BioTherapeutics
21 Firstfield Road, Gaithersburg

Brief Biography:

I graduated from University of Zurich where my research focus was to understand the folding pathways of repeat proteins that are emerging as excellent alternatives to antibody therapy. I carried out my postdoc research at Stanford University,CA and expertised in utilizing biophysical/biochemical methods for protein analytical characterization. As a Scientist in Solus Biosystems, I engaged in understanding the conformational changes of therapeutic antibodies using high-throughput spectrophotometer. Currently I am serving Integrated BioTherapeutics as a Scientist and managing the protein production group and we are producing, purifying and characterizing viral glycoproteins and bacterial alpha toxins.

Academic positions:

Graduate Research Teaching Assistant at the University of Zurich, Switzerland

Postdoctoral Research Scholar at Stanford University, CA

Research interests:

Macromolecule conformational changes

Purification of challenging proteins and peptides using different chromatographic methods

Application of biophysical and biochemical methods for protein characterization

Pre-formulation, formulation and stability characterization of proteins/peptides

Understanding folding and unfolding pathways of proteins (both in-vitro and in-vivo)

What I think of the idea behind WebmedCentral:

Its a terrific idea to bring the biomedical scientists as one group and to work towards helping the scientific society to successfully publish their research work.
