Other Comments:
The article is misleading to say the least. The title mentions incidence of DM in morbidly obese Saudi but discusses it in a select patient population. There is haphazard mention of fatty liver, DM and the conclusion surprisingly talks about hypertension only! There are references inserted in the Introduction (repeated in the References at the end of the article). The language and grammar too is improper. The article would not have been accepted in a journal with a peer review before publication.....It's presence here probably reflects the downside of a post publication review system.

I have been working as a physician for more than two decades now and have even worked in Saudi Arabia for nine years. Obesity and DM (Diabesity) is already an epidemic!

Other Comments:
The article is interesting and talks about the impending problem in developing countries. In the statistics the majority is females and also non diabetics. Is age and hormone playing a role in causing obesity and diabetes ? Sir it would have been interesting to know how much is hyperphagia.

It should be increasing the sample size to be more accurate in results, Also the references should be from 2000 to compare with recent studies.
