The title should probably be Radiological Equivalent of Grey-Turner's sign at Computed Tomography in Acute Pancreatitis for the sake of clarity.

The value of CT in the diagnosis of acute pancreatitis is unquestionable: it is demonstrate also by the recognition of an equivalent of theGray-Turner's Sign. The reported case clearly demonstrates it. The place of CT in the prognosis of an acute pancreatitis must be considered with great interest.

The main claims of this article is that CT scans can discover the basis of clinical signs such as Grey Turner's and Cullen's and that such information is important to the management of the case. These claims are fairly important.
The claims made by the authors, however, are not novel. Such work has already been published. The authors themselves cite such work.
1. Meyers M.A.,Feldberg M.A., Oliphant M. Grey-Turner’s sign and Cullen’s sign in acute pancreatitis. Gastrointest Radiol 1989; 14:31-7.
The claims are not reviewed against available literature. For instance, the authors should have reviewed their findings in light of contrast enhanced CT scans and MRI. An example of literature to place this in context can be:
1. Balthazar EJ. Acute pancreatitis: assessment of severity with clinical and CT evaluation. Radiology 2002; 223:603-613.
A single case report is insufficient to support the claims. A statistically designed prospective study can evaluate the authors' claims and compare them with other prevalent techniques.
This is a case study - standard procedure followed at the authors' institution is adequate.
Enough details about imaging methodology is not provided. However, for this case report, detailed methodology may not be important.
A better literature review could provide much depth for this article. Literature review should not be very difficult to do.
This case report is not outstanding in its discipline. The claims made by the authors have either already been published by others or there are potentially superior methods available which undermine the claims of the authors.
